Emotive storytelling family photography in Leeds and across Yorkshire
Photography that feels like a memory.
Rather than just showing what you looked like, your family photographs should tell a story and remind you exactly of how this season of life felt.
If your perfect family day involves woodland walks, picnics in the countryside or chasing your children through open fields rather than asking them to sit still, you're in the right place. My sessions are relaxed, playful, and led by connection, allowing real moments to unfold naturally while I capture them with an artistic, storytelling approach.
Because years from now, you'll want more than perfect photographs - you'll want to remember the adventure, the love, and the feeling of being together.
Serving families from Leeds, Harrogate, York, Bradford, Wakefield & surrounding Yorkshire regions.
Occasional destination storytelling sessions for families and couples in some of the UK's most breathtaking landscapes.

The Experience
More than a photography session.
A chance to slow down, reconnect, and preserve this chapter of your story.
The best photographs are created when you feel relaxed, present and completely yourself.
That's why every session with me is designed to feel unhurried. There are no rushed timelines. No pressure for perfect smiles. No expectations for children to sit still. My role is to gently guide you while leaving plenty of space for real moments to unfold naturally.

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call, and let’s get planning.
-
Every family is different, so every session begins with a conversation.
Once you've enquired, we'll chat about your family, your vision and the experience you'd love to create together.
We'll choose the perfect location, discuss styling, answer any questions and make sure you feel completely prepared before the day arrives.
My goal is for you to arrive feeling excited—not nervous.
-
Every session begins slowly to allow everyone time to settle in. We’ll play games, let the children be curious and explore, or cuddle up with the parents if they’re a bit shy. We’ll walk, talk, laugh and follow the light as it changes across the landscape.
-
Next step is the editing process. I carefully hand-edit every image with my signature, earthy and cinematic style. I keep skin retouching very subtle and minimal for these sessions.
-
You will receiving an online viewing gallery, where you can choose your favourite photographs to keep, or to download them all, depending on your chosen collection.
-
Your photographs deserve more than a place on your phone. They should be framed on your walls, displayed on your shelves and turned into albums your children will one day look through with their own families.
Digital files are wonderful, but printed photographs become part of your family's legacy. I offer a variety of beautiful photography products, I’m sure you’ll find something perfect for you and your family.

What my clients say
“Me, my husband and 3 children had the most magical evening with Kasia. We met for a natural family shoot, at golden hour around 8:30pm. My kids were really comfortable around Kasia. She was professional, friendly, and very experienced. I am beyond happy with the photos she has taken and sent us! I can’t believe how amazing they are. I actually teared up seeing them.
Thank you for the most amazing evening and capturing this for me and my children.”

Life isn't made up of milestones alone.
It's made up of quiet Tuesday evenings.
Woodland walks.
Wind-blown hair.
Muddy boots.
Tiny fingers wrapped around yours.
The way your child still reaches for a cuddle.
Holiday adventures.
These are the moments that shape a family.
These are the moments worth remembering.
The Art of Slowing Down.
In a world that moves so quickly, your session is an opportunity to pause for a while. To leave the to-do list behind, explore together, hold your children close, and simply enjoy being with one another. The photographs are a beautiful result, but the experience itself is something I hope you'll remember too.

The questions I'm asked most often.

There isn't a set list of poses or a strict schedule. Instead, we spend time together outdoors, exploring, walking, playing, cuddling and simply enjoying being together.
'll give you prompts and ideas to help you interact naturally, but you won't be expected to stand still and smile at the camera for most of the session.
And if you're not used to having your photograph taken, don't worry. I'll guide you through it.
Think of it less like a photoshoot and more like an evening spent together as a family. With me there to document it.
-
A little bit of weather can actually make a session more atmospheric and cinematic.
I'm very happy to photograph in overcast skies, a little wind or light drizzle. However, if the weather is genuinely unsafe or likely to make the experience unpleasant for your family, we'll reschedule to next mutually convenient time.
I always keep an eye on the forecast and will be in touch if we need to make a decision.
-
Whenever possible, I love photographing outdoors in the beautiful light around sunrise or sunset. But cloudy days are great for photography too, and give us more flexibility around session start time.
The exact time depends on the season, location, the kind of atmosphere we're creating and, of course, the weather. I usually confirm the start time a day or two before the shoot, when we know what the weather is going to be like.
-
They're children, they're allowed to be children!
I don't expect little ones to sit still, smile on command or behave perfectly for an hour or two. That's not what these sessions are about.
Running, exploring, getting distracted, collecting flowers, climbing, jumping and being curious are all part of the story.
Sometimes the moments you might think are "going wrong" are actually the photographs I love most.
-
Most outdoor storytelling sessions last between 1 to 2 hours.
But I don't want you watching the clock. The aim is to give your family enough time to settle in, explore and forget about the camera.
-
Absolutely.
If your session is about your wider family story, grandparents or other important family members can be included. Just let me know when enquiring so we can plan the session and choose a location that works for everyone.
-
Yes!
Your dog is an important part of your family and I'd love to include them. Just let me know beforehand so we can choose a location where they are welcome and make sure the session works for everyone.

Most of the outdoor sessions are a bit more off the beaten track, and are not stroller/pushchair friendly. Additionally, the nature of these sessions means that small children and babies are carried, cuddled and played with throughout our time together.
As for your bags and valuables, you can bring along an easy access shopper bag that can be put on the ground, or I can keep your belongings in mine. -
I recommend choosing clothes that make you feel comfortable and like yourselves, while still working together as a family, rather than matching exactly. Coordinate, don’t match!
Soft, neutral colours and textures tend to photograph beautifully outdoors, but there is no strict dress code. Outfit recommendations may also change depending on the season and location. We’ll discuss this individually before your session.
