Spring newborn photography is all about softness and subtle beauty, and for baby girls it means flowers, and lots of them if that’s your vibe! I love incorporating floral accents in my newborn set-ups for baby girls. I use artificial flowers, floral headbands and floral backdrops, however I always make sure that the flowers are not overpowering the baby, but simply enhancing that fresh spring feeling. While I do occasionally do a couple of themed portraits, I usually focus on creating timeless images, not something overly seasonal.

For newborn baby boys I like using fresh colours like green and yellow, and enhancing the set-ups with greenery. Greenery works great with more muted and neutral colours too if that’s your preference.
